the exhibition

David Bowie was already wondering this in the 1970s when he released his famous Life on Mars? which recounted the disillusionment he felt with the society around him. If he saw the reality now, he would certainly not be happier. The lyrics of the song tell the story, with surreal and alienated features, of a girl trying to escape from her everyday life by creating her own universe. This song has never been more relevant: for we all seek our Mars, to escape from the hustle and bustle of life, full of injustice and suffering. Life on Mars? The exhibition, aims to spur artists and viewers to find their own “permanent center of gravity,” be it concrete or imaginary, but one that offers new perspectives and lifeblood from which to tune in to a better frequency.

To be a glass or not to be a glass?
This is the dilemma.

On the occasion of Fuorisalone 2025, Acrylic Needs presents its solo exhibition This is not a glass, a visual and sensory journey into contemporary design through a decidedly unconventional line of glasses.
Everyday objects that are transformed into works of art, a series with a strong craft component where material and form come together to reinvent themselves, ironizing and questioning the very concept of glass.

Again, Acrylic Needs' compositions, recognizable by their provocative attitude, are meant to invite introspection, asking the viewer for a change of point of view from reality.

The event is hosted by The YAH Factory, which has always been a mutable venue with respect to the type of event hosted, this time ready to evolve further into a sharper and bolder version.

How easy is it to live in a bubble of melancholy?

Young Art Hunters is pleased to present Melancholyville, the last group show of 2024. Melancholyville is not an exclusively contemporary sentiment; rather, it has origins in Ancient Greece. However, it has changed form in correlation with the evolution of society. In fact, each epoch has given it a different name and semantic nuance: the Latins called it tristitia, to emphasize its sad and resigned side; the theologians of the Middle Ages acoedia, synonymous with laziness, even going so far as to call it the midday devil, because it affected monks in the hottest hours; the poets of chivalry love sickness, or the madness that affected lovers; the Romantics of the 19th century spleen, where it is finally acknowledged as having creative power.

Are we in search of a goal, or of its fruits?
The question arises from an innate feeling, so ingrained as to connect matter to its shell. What I find is not and will not be its absolute form, over time the shell of expectation is scratched, it crumbles, revealing many aspects without a rationale, revealing mystery. Building embryos from this bubble of emptiness, in which thought perceives the lack of information, I see a dispersed cosmos with foreign references. I need no other vision to explain the intellectual dispersion of a mind in constant refutation than the classic eggs of the animal world. They are an excellent deposition, an openly declared harangue on the transience of belief.

A quail egg, once hatched from the inside, no longer belongs to that animal, but will give a talking version of the shell, with exact colour and shape. The same cannot be said of the ostrich egg; it is not consistent with its animal counterpart.
Although one can recognise a variety in the ways in which procreation acts, I was able to stop it, like an immobile image in space. Preserving doubt and making reality an immovable conception has generated another kind of evolution, less conscious, freer from the general pre-established pattern.

artist

artworks

Fantasising about the likelihood of a hypothetical empty being, a seed so alive that it imposes itself on motionless eternity, reflects the desire to break down the entire life process into various segments and the motives built up in the course of approaching the individual's ‘maturity’. (To add the part about returning to the original, hence unbroken egg)
Vorwerk brings back the mythology of an arcane balance, cutting the umbilical cord when the oval form has not yet made its matter known to show a universe of beings yet to be deciphered, in their ideal form. They can behave freely, within this shield they fight against canonical reality and communicate their perennial nonexistence.

Lynette Reed: Reflections In Duality

the exhibition

'Contrast is the essence of art and existence. It is what gives life to the ordinary and reveals the extraordinary'

Young Art Hunters is proud to present. Reflections In Duality, the solo exhibition of the American artist Lynette Reed.
The exhibition highlights the duality of Lynette Reed's artistic journey, which creates this duplicity by making more abstract and chaotic works on the one hand, evidence of her deepest thoughts and emotions, and more graphic and ordered works on the other, where natural and floral subject matter predominates. The artist's production converges, however, in the same substance because both types of works are engaged in an emotional dialogue marked by interior and exterior, noise and silence.

The abstract works, characterized by a chaos free from all constraints, are a reflection of his inner world. Colors and shapes alternate in a convulsive but extremely harmonious dance, revealing the different layers of his existence, his thoughts and his most intimate life experience. They are maps, made of impulsive brushstrokes representative of the chaos of thoughts that are gently smoothed by the wave of emotions. They embody everything from passion to joy, confusion to certainty, capturing the fleeting moments that define her.
In opposition, the flowers represent the outward face, the beauty we cherish and the control we try to exercise. They are neat, composed but vibrant and represent the armor we wear in the face of life's unpredictability. Together, these works are a celebration of contrast between our inner turbulence and the calm we project.

the exhibition

The exhibition is divided through several sections, each of them featuring the female figure, a central subject in Annett Gioia's art.

The women depicted by the artist, are true urban venus, as intangible as they are incredibly close to each of us. They are everyday women of different colors and shapes, who, silent, accompany us along a journey made of increasingly overwhelming emotions.

artist

Annett Gioia

Annett Gioia is an artist living and working in Frankfurt, Germany.
Art has always been an important part of her life, influencing her since early childhood, giving her a way to express her feelings and emotions through the use of different artistic techniques. For her, art is an opportunity to make the intangible visible, letting the instantaneous references of reality shape the works. Annett Gioia has participated in several group and solo exhibitions between Italy and Germany, Venuses is her first solo exhibition in Milan.

reportage

Light is a fundamental element, guiding and escorting us through the journey.
A glow that uncovers and caresses the bodies in their most natural poses and in their most intimate and everyday moments, making the viewer a silent spectator of those gestures and movements that are as delicate as they are captivating.
The exhibition alternates works on paper with oils on canvas, creating an increasingly close connection between the colors and the women depicted. Some figures are only sketched with India ink and pencils, others, reveal themselves charged and saturated in correspondence to the powerful research behind each pose. Her goal is to convey the depth and uniqueness of each person, whether through realistic drawings or a synthesis of essential lines.

the exhibition

Young Art Hunters is proud to present Purple Rain, the solo exhibition of artist Luigi Francischello.

The exhibition is a journey into memory through the different characters that inhabit the canvases, figures that belong to a distant time that the artist reinterprets in a contemporary key with the desire to open a dialogue with the great masters of iconography of the past, drawing inspiration from the Indian tables of the xv century and Japanese prints but also from Courbet, Botticelli, Waterhouse and Von Stuck.

artist

reportage

Subjects are depicted hieratically and statically, mixing elements of the past and present, introducing a distorted and personal interpretation of portraiture that explores themes such as identity, collectivity, and offers a unique look at the perception of art.
The portrait creates a fictitious world of symbols, rhetorical figures, and didactic representations that emerge from the subconscious and go on to interact unconsciously and consequentially with intent and narrative. The illusion is thus created that the visual field reveals a cryptic and hidden logic all to be decoded.

artworks

Purple Rain is a metaphorical journey within possible identities. It is the showy and ridiculous staging that manifests the unspeakable as a guarantee of the essential, the naked and cold tangibility. What is of interest is the monumentality of the semblances made so by the pictorial technique used, quick and instinctive but at the same time thoughtful and meditated.

reportage

The paradoxical works generated by the skill of the artists Federico Catagnoli, Chiara Cattaneo, Elia Panori and Mauro Valsecchi, reach out to the viewer in a path accompanied by only questions that can be seen in the materials and concepts of the installations. We enter a cave where light is the doubt and darkness the certainty of not being able to affirm any answer. The boundary of our perception lies in the will to cross it and cross new and undiscovered immaterial mysteries.

O Osiris, bull of Amenti! Thoth, king of eternity. I am the great God of the divine Boat who fought for you. I am one of those gods, the Judges who work the justification of Osiris against his adversaries on the day when the Words are weighed. I am a blood relative of yours, Osiris.

Book of the Dead

The Duat is a cave referred to by the ancient Egyptians as “funerary,” it holds the greatest questions that ancient civilization posed along with the hope for an afterlife that was not an end but rather, a beginning. By considering the Duat as a place-non-place without a specific time, we can enrich ourselves with numerous questions about the purity of the matter that inhabits the cave, the same matter where irresolution is the goal of the path that allows us to understand the limits of humankind and recognize the importance of vital sources without abusing them.

Like silicon, whose polymorphic chemical composition can take on different connotations depending on perception and the surrounding environment, so the eleven artists in the exhibition address the themes of mystical and physical transformism, developing, just as in the story 'The Metamorphosis', a reflection towards the identification of the problems of contemporary man; such as: the inability of dialogue between people, the incommunicability of one's own needs and the exile of the different.

The exhibition thus aims to open a dialogue towards a social condition where one's personal identity is annihilated as a function of homologation to the workforce, and where alienation takes hold both in today's society and in the family context, creating real mutations in physics and thought.

Hic et Nunc Post

Gianluca Ripepi: Hic Et Nunc

the exhibition

Young Art Hunters is proud to present 'Hic Et Nunc', the solo exhibition of artist Gianluca Ripepi. The exhibition is a journey through two series, Gesture-Colour and Mental Landscapes, both of which explore the fundamental theme of time.

The two series, although stylistically different from each other, blend perfectly in a Hic Et Nunc, in the 'here and now', allowing us to observe the moment before its change, in the gesture that has just ended or in a landscape that is waiting to blossom, again.

The Gesture-Colour series is resolved in a few gestural moments after the preparation of the palette, the Mental Landscapes, on the other hand, mature, evolve, change, oxidise and alter over time as in a real landscape, alluding to an alchemy between the various subjects.

The title Hic Et Nunc serves precisely to emphasise this theme, proposing to the viewer a journey in the fraction of a second in which the work remains motionless, imperturbable, clashing with the concept of evolution, allowing us to silently enter its world before it can destroy itself to recreate itself.

artist

Gianluca Ripepi, born in Domodossola in 1977, began his artistic career as a self-taught artist with the study of classical and Hellenistic sculpture. In 2009, he deepened his education by attending free courses at the Aldo Galli Academy in Como, getting closer and closer to abstract art and participating in several solo and group exhibitions since 2010.

On the occasion of the first anniversary of The YAH Factory gallery, Young Art Hunters, a reality that has always been committed to the promotion and dissemination of emerging art, inaugurates 'Morpheus' an exhibition dedicated to the theme of dreams, reinterpreted according to the technique and style of ten young international artists, united to give space to all those experiences that each of us lives during the night and those that seem so real during our sleep.

It is a tribute to the unconscious of each of us, to faraway places and faces that seem as familiar as they are sinister, to the journey we face each night that elevates us to a parallel dimension, whether sweet or frightening. It is an exhibition dedicated to dreams with our eyes closed and those in which we lose ourselves even with our eyes open.

Intimate places into which the viewer will be projected without having to ask permission, spaces frozen in time so fascinating and disturbing that we wonder if it is reality or fiction, truth or lie.

Blooming Blood Post ufficiale

Blooming Blood

the exhibition

Flowing, dripping blood. Blood that takes the pain away with it, giving space to rebirth and blossoming, like the cycle of nature. Different stories of flows forced to remain silent, hidden and untold, now take their space to be able to express themselves without restraint, without secrets or fear of judgment.

artists

reportage

Blooming Blood is the union of two projects belonging to two different perspectives, united by feminine delicacy and a passion for analogic photographyLiving bodies that bleed in different contexts, are finally exposed and the flow is alive, natural and finally heard.
The exhibition, in collaboration with the Milano Photofestival, presents two penetrating visions on a dual topic concerning the menstrual cycle andself-harm.

To make these subjects elegant and at the same time intense, the two emerging photographers Alice Brizzi and Giulia Frumpworked together through analogic photography o give voice to testimonies, stories and depersonalized memories of their identities which until now could only remain in silence while now finally shout to the public the sensations they have experienced and continue to experience.

The sun stands still. How unthinkable is it nowadays that the sun can stand still and we cannot? Yet there is, that one day a year where the sun stands still, creating an instant that seems to last an eternity, merging us with it. Young Art Hunters through the works of four international artists wants to pause with the sun, paying homage to the summer season with its most vivid colors speckled with an almost esoteric nostalgia that captures and elevates us to an ever higher level. We want to admire it, celebrate it and together celebrate that moment, feeling the long heartbeat of the world until the sky turns pink, red and gold and the star begins its return to winter.

BENEATH THE SURFACE

Beneath the surface is an exhibition dedicated to the Global Artelier 21 collective, a group of women artists from Australia, Ireland, Italy, Mexico, the United Kingdom and the United States.
A close-knit group born with the intention of bringing a breath of fresh air, a new way to express themselves through intrinsic and intuitive art.

Just as in life, first impressions do not always reflect what is around us, we need to explore deeper to understand what is hidden from our eyes. One needs to look beneath the surface to reveal the true nature of creation, to descend into the depths to truly know its history

The works of art presented are inspired by the layers of life, our past, present and future, an excursus into the lives of the artists on display, a laying bare suitable only for those who know and are ready to see beyond all these veils.

In the near future, influenced by considerable changes in the field of technology, humanity recognizes itself as an art form, distorting today's concept of it and contributing as a tool for a more complete culture. Traditional, modern and contemporary art evolves in an in-depth recognition of the human in relation to nature, becoming the scenario and protagonist of a new movement. Digital art will be projected into every environment, the body will become the true artistic protagonist. A great transition in civilization needs a change of perception: the computer, what we call Artificial Intelligence, will be the spectator of the exhibitions. It will no longer be us who go to see an exhibition, but technology will learn by itself to recognize us as an art form.

In this future, the concept of "exhibition" is different, in fact the spectator becomes the protagonist. The YAH Factory gallery will host individuals who will undo their now obsolete vision to approach direct participation. In the two rooms, the gallery will change shape, introducing a divider between the introduction to this evolution (in the first room) and its actual realization (in the second). The exhibition includes the use of wall projections of experimental video art and refractions through mirrors, an engaging 360° sound experience. The main sensation that viewers will recognize is belonging to a new, fantastic place, like a "mind room" where to be the focus.

Dissoul

Young Art Hunters is proud to present 'Dissoul', a revealing exhibition of fragments.

The exhibition, organized in the brand new The YAH Factory art gallery and curated by the Young Art Hunters association, which has always been involved in the promotion of emerging artists, is a collective of nine Italian and international artists who, through the use of their own technique and artistic expression have laid bare, exploring the innermost parts of themselves, dividing their IO into two different but complementary parts.

An unsettling find, a controversial technique, a revealing mirror, a penetrating vision. These are just some of the fragments of spirit that Young Art Hunters hosts in its gallery. In this act of cutting off part of the person, the will to keep veiled traces in the works of art is reported, therefore being able to be in several places at the same time, depending on the distance of the various pieces of oneself; when they are concentrated, as in this case, innumerable aspects can be recognized and all with great expressive power.

The exhibition continues the cycle of exhibitions dedicated to promising young art, always ready to answer the contemporary questions of today's society.

EXPOSIOCIO’ INTERNACIONAL DE PINTURA Y FOTOGRAFIA, CASA BATLO’, BARCELLONA

The exhibition is a journey through five series, each with its own place, time and history.

THE EXHIBITION IS THE PHOTOGRAPHER'S FIRST SOLO SHOW IN MILAN, AT THE BRAND NEW VENUE THE YAH FACTORY.

The Factory

Young Art Hunters is proud to present

'The Factory', the first exhibition held in its brand new space in via Bramante 13 a Milan.

The exhibition is a group show of eight emerging artists, chosen from among the different personalities represented by the association, young up-and-comers and international artists, painters and photographers ready to get involved.

REPORTAGE

An important sense of belonging introduces a new path, composed of introspective works: different subjects and techniques that manage to communicate with each other perfectly, while retaining different feelings within themselves. What is striking about this illuminated path is freshness, strength and determination.

The representations on the walls invoke innate courage, a willingness to express to the public the power of the young language, the desire to be able to assert themselves, to make a mark. The exhibition will be set up in the brand new venue The YAH Factory by Young Art Hunters, the name immediately suggests a connection, it was not chosen at random in fact but intentionally inspired by the Factory of Andy Warhol which in the 60s, was a reference point for creatives of all genres. From actors to street artists, the space with silver walls was not a place but the place par excellence where the artistic vein was the host.

The intent is to recreate an environment of exchange, of confrontation, a space for ideas and colors, made by artists for artists. The exhibition is the beginning of this journey and continues the cycle of exhibitions dedicated to promising young artists, always ready to answer contemporary questions of today's society.
