Elio Guazzo, class 2001, born in Milano, gets his diploma in Figurative Arts at “Liceo Artistico di Brera” and is currently attending the three-years course at the “Accademia di Belle Arti di Brera”.
His interest for the contemporary figurative art and the Japanese traditional disciplines lead him to experiment both drawing and painting, fullness and emptiness, seeking balance and a constituent essential nature, in which the element of the shape is itself a counterweight in front of the lightness of the absence and the heaviness of the presence. In his artworks he gives life to Occidental bodies, solid, three-dimensional, but without an effective mass as they’re in a dimension of suspension and reflection tipically Eastern, in which appear only a few elements whose presence contributes to give concreteness to emptiness.
