Biography
Martyna Pietrasik is a polish artist who’s work is especially focused in painting and photography. She graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts in Cracow and currently lives and works in Milan where she also studied art for a year – at Accademia di Belle Arti di Brera. Martyna is creating her individual artistic language based on many years of experience in studying traditional art. Her path of development constantly revolves around personal tenderness and changing emotions. She grew up surrounded by nature which constantly affects her art. She sees the world and humans as one connected organism. She compares them together to emphasize the meaning of our physical nature. The subject of the body and its
biological structure is specially important to her. Her experience of anorexia intensified these interests even more. She is fascinated by the material form of life. Martyna conveys her tastes in organic shapes with intense colors which usually relate to botanic lines and anatomical figures.
