the exhibition
ARCANA shifts the central elements of symbolism, bursting into a new language where primitive figures take on a meaning deeply linked to the current recognition of contemporary social groups.
Taking Warhol's idea, the symbol passes through every person and changes according to the historical period, so ARCANA reveals itself through all those primitive myths that now take on a different appearance, marking themselves like letters of a new alphabet made up of “other” symbols.
The artist has conceived new characters for a new form of writing where the symbolic aspect prevails over the logical and rational, connecting multiple experiences in the creation of a contemporary myth. The subjects in the works guide us through a mystical journey where sacred and profane images come together around a dark and blazing pictorial expression, as if to show the cathartic power of living beings, connected not by logic but by an ancient awakening of human knowledge.
