'Contrast is the essence of art and existence. It is what gives life to the ordinary and reveals the extraordinary'
Young Art Hunters is proud to present. Reflections In Duality, the solo exhibition of the American artist Lynette Reed.
The exhibition highlights the duality of Lynette Reed's artistic journey, which creates this duplicity by making more abstract and chaotic works on the one hand, evidence of her deepest thoughts and emotions, and more graphic and ordered works on the other, where natural and floral subject matter predominates. The artist's production converges, however, in the same substance because both types of works are engaged in an emotional dialogue marked by interior and exterior, noise and silence.
The abstract works, characterized by a chaos free from all constraints, are a reflection of his inner world. Colors and shapes alternate in a convulsive but extremely harmonious dance, revealing the different layers of his existence, his thoughts and his most intimate life experience. They are maps, made of impulsive brushstrokes representative of the chaos of thoughts that are gently smoothed by the wave of emotions. They embody everything from passion to joy, confusion to certainty, capturing the fleeting moments that define her.
In opposition, the flowers represent the outward face, the beauty we cherish and the control we try to exercise. They are neat, composed but vibrant and represent the armor we wear in the face of life's unpredictability. Together, these works are a celebration of contrast between our inner turbulence and the calm we project.
